​Spencer Drate is an award-winning Creative Director/Designer/Author and recently nominated for the 2019 National Design Award. He, alongside Judy Salavetz, has not only designed for the music famous including 25 Rock n Roll Hall of Fame inductees and their album design in MoMA,AIGA and The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame archival collections plus major museum/gallery and traveling shows; but also, has authored 21 major pop-culture books including “Designing For Music”, “45 RPM” and “FIVE HUNDRED 45s” and these books in The Rock Hall archival collection. Spencer was the first album designer interviewed on MTV/VH1 and GRAMMY nominated for co-designing with Talking Heads “Fear of Music” album packaging in 1979. Spencer presently co-hosts a pop-culture radio show and contributes music and film articles to Punk Globe Magazine.

They both have judged on major album/45 packaging voting committees and have been interviewed in major media and profiled in major books.
