Brandon has been making hommade mixtapes ever since his step-mom taught him how as a kid. An adolescence filled with DIY J-cards eventually gave way to digital playlists as he lost touch with the physical art. However, his passion for music curation never softened and in 2009 he launched The Burning Ear, a music blog that quickly built an audience for its unique new music reccomendations and not-so-serious style. In 2015 Brandon took the spirit of a music blog and combined it with his love for both vinyl getting and things in the mail. This hybrid creation became Vinyl Moon, a monthly vinyl-mixtape record club with a focus on deluxe original artwork packaging. Vinyl Moon is currently celebrating it’s 50th edition as it ships monthly releases to members in over 60 countries. Brandon continues to curate both the music and artwork for each release. The fact that his current day job is doing exatcly what he loved doing as a kid is not lost on him. In fact, he probably has a playlist celebrating it somewhere…
